27 Weeks

My allergies seem to have gotten the best of me...what a rough night! This morning the doctor started me on a Z-Pack, as it looks like I'm trying to develop an infection. I was a complete vegetable all day: napping in beteen meals and trying to feel better. I do think I will survive!

Today I am 27 weeks! We are so incredibly thankful for every day that I can stay pregnant. The babies are growing so much. The evening nurse from last night hadn't seen me in a couple of days. As she hooked me up to the contraction monitor, she said "My goodness girl! Look how your belly has grown!" John is going to bring the camera tomorrow to take pictures of me and my new home.

Thanks for all the calls, prayers, and emails...keep them coming!

Thursday, June 28th

Today was such a good day! John got to the hospital by 9:30, and we had visitors all day long. Friends from Glen Rose and Breckenridge stopped by to say "Hi" and to pass along their well-wishes. I got flowers, magazines, and puzzles. It makes me feel good that so many people are thinking about us and praying for the babies.

Jill is having a little trouble with allergies, but the other than that, everything is looking good!

Sonogram

I had a sonogram today to measure and weigh the babies. The boys weighed 1 lb.13 oz. and 1 lb. 12 oz. and the girl weighed 2 lb. 2 oz. The doctor was pleased with the measurements and said everything looked good. Another good day!

Just a quick note to let you know what is going on with Jill. They hook her up to a machine twice a day, one hour in the morning and one hour in the evening, to monitor her contractions. The most she has had is 5 in one hour. The doctors said there is no need for concern unless it becomes 6 or more. Her vital signs are good, and she is doing great... other than missing her home, her husband, her dogs and cat. Keep her, John and the babies in your thoughts and prayers. John is traveling as much as he can to see her.

Prayer Request

My friend Amy, who is from Glen Rose and pregnant with triplets, had her babies today at 24 1/2 weeks. The babies are doing good, and seem to be strong. Please pray for Amy, her husband Kevin, and their 3 little boys!

26 Weeks - The Hospital

I started out this week at home on bed rest where I have spent the last 3 1/2 weeks, but my doctor's appointment on Tuesday changed everything. Dr. Tabor decided I needed to reside at Harris Methodist for the duration of my pregnancy. I am doing great, and trying to adjust to my new home. Please feel free to email me at jillcpower@yahoo.com , leave a comment, or call me anytime at 817-250-2381.

The Beginning...

After 3 unsuccessful attempts at in vitro fertilization, we found out I was pregnant and, to our WONDERFUL surprise, it was TRIPLETS. Two identical boys and one girl.
