Kids Amaze Me!

One day they can't do something, and then the next day they can! When I taught 1st grade I was always amazed at how a child would go home on Friday, not really being able to read, and then come back on Monday reading sentences. Something just clicks, and there they go!

Avery has been attempting to crawl for a few weeks, but she took off last Wednesday. And trust me, there is no stopping that child! Not only is she crawling well, but she started pulling up on Friday. Now she pulls up on everything, and bonks her head alot too. John has already lowered her bed.

Aaron and Adam haven't really been interested in picking food up off their trays and eating it. They seemed content to eat baby food. Well, that has changed too! They don't want you to spoon feed them (unless it is fruit or yogurt), and they are very opinionated about what they eat. Avery will eat anything you put on her tray. Aaron and Adam will fuss and whine if you give them something they don't like---and of course they will spit it out. It is so funny to watch! (And frustrating too!)

The boys are rocking on their hands/knees and really seem to be watching Avery as she crawls by them. I think it won't be long for them.

Aaron has been cracking us up! John has always referred to Aaron as his little linebacker because Aaron has a fiesty streak. One night he was standing up holding on to John's fingers when he just hunched over, squeezed John's fingers, and started growling! Now, if his brother or sister are close in proximity, he will reach out and tackle them and lay on top of them! I know he thinks he is giving "hugs" but it looks like a form tackle to us! John is so proud!!

Adam remains the thinker. He does "talk" more now, but he is really quiet compared with the other two. Adam has the sweetest little smile! He requires a lot less sleep than the other two...you can count on him talking in his bed every morning around 5:45, and his is always the first up from nap. I love Adam's gentleness! He is so neat...

All three are so amazing and SO very different from each other. They love watching and "talking" to each other...it is very cute!
